Over the past couple of months, my heart has been filled to overflowing. I am overflowing with gratitude for Jesus—for how He connects us as a family, and for how He relentlessly propels us forward into the mission He has placed on our lives. Through intercessory prayer, speaking, and writing, He continues to align my steps with His heart.
Forever a Student of Grace
I have always been a sponge. I love to learn, and I pray I never stop. But one of the most breathtaking truths I’ve discovered is that learning doesn’t end on this side of eternity—learning abounds in Heaven! Whether through quiet absorption, deep fellowship, or formal instruction, our heavenly Father has designed our minds to be fed on an eternal basis. And the core of all heavenly wisdom? Jesus Himself.
“He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you.” — 1 Peter 1:3–4
The Lord doesn’t just push us up steep learning curves; He ushers us through them with incredible tenderness. Sometimes He guides with a hand gently on our elbow; other times He walks so closely beside us that His presence is tangible. Recently, someone asked me, “What does it actually feel like when He holds your hand here on earth?”
I had them clasp their own hands tightly together. “There you go,” I smiled. “Now imagine that exact closeness, but infused with a divine warmth that floods your entire body.”
My spirit recognizes His. My heart knows His voice, His instruction, and His gentle correction. When I am writing or praying over others, He ensures I hear precisely what is needed for that moment.
The Power of “Just One More”
This past week, I had the privilege of supporting speaker, author and Heaven-bro Gabe Poirot at Compass City Church. Gabe shared a phrase that resonated deeply with my spirit: “Just one more person.”
We don’t need to set out with a mission to reach millions; we simply need to care deeply about the one standing right in front of us. Every single soul carries immense weight in the Kingdom. Every heart matters. And a single transformed life can set off a surge that ripples through eternity.
We are not done until:
-
“Just one more person” hears the goodness of God and chooses to trust the Maker of heaven and earth.
-
“Just one more” steps into the fullness of their purpose and mission manifesto.
-
“Just one more” experiences healing so profound that their cup overflows onto everyone around them.
Watching Gabe minister to teens, children, and families was a beautiful reminder of how God moves through authentic obedience. Watching him speak, pray over people, and share Words of knowledge was a truly Spirit-led experience. It was such a joy to stand alongside him, pray with people, and offer my hands for whatever the Lord wanted to do.
Serving alongside Gabe only confirmed what I already felt in my spirit about his ministry. At one point, he turned his camera on me and expressed surprise at how closely my personal encounter with Jesus matched his own testimony. He asked if I had heard his story before my encounter with Heaven.
I couldn’t help but laugh: “No offense, but I had no idea you guys existed until I came back!” I am so deeply grateful for this Heaven-family God has surrounded me with.
Called to Set the Captives Free
This season of growth continued at the Life After Conference in Arkansas alongside Randy Kay and his wife. It was an intense, powerful deep-dive into intercessory prayer and physical healing. After Randy shared a powerful word over me, he sent me straight to the prayer line to minister to others. We both knew that was exactly where the Spirit was leading.
As I served, prayed, and witnessed God’s restoring power bring people back into freedom, my heart was overwhelmed. The ministry was a whirlwind—and it did not come without intense spiritual opposition before and during the event. But in the middle of that spiritual battle, I looked up and asked, “Lord, is this why You brought me to Heaven and back?”
His response echoed clearly in my heart:
“YES. Now, go set My captives free.”
Here I am, Lord. Send me.

Author Panel With George Fox University
Melanie Dobson recently invited me to join an Author Panel with Kendy Pearson for the Creative Tides Ministry at George Fox University. It was loads of fun. We answered questions like:
- How do you track your progress when writing?
- How much time per day is ideal for writing?
- What should be my next step?
- What about AI/Artificial Intelligence use when writing?
Melanie also provided a great workshop on moving from idea stage to writing-a-book-stage with a lot of tried and true insight. Melanie is a friend and a true servant of Jesus and I adore any time that I am privileged to spend with her. Check out her newest bestseller, “The Lost Story of Via Bella.” It is loosely based on the story of Grace Livingston Hill, and you will be glad that you picked it up!
