NOTE – Images may be triggering to survivors

On Sunday, the FJC had their open house and survivor art show. I shared a little speech, we lit candles and several others and I read a Proclamation that the Center has adopted as theirs with a commitment to take care of abuse survivors, both children and adults.

The Family Justice Center is combining forces in the next couple of years with CARES NW and will become “The Family Peace Center”. At a recent Survivor Voices Committee Meeting, we got to help them build the list of services that should be included in each Tier of Care.

The Tiers include:

1) Abuse Prevention

2) Intervention

3) Healing

4) Hope

I wanted you to be able to see some of the amazing art included in the survivor art gallery, as well as the happenings around. Sorry I cannot post them all-it clogged up WordPress when I tried. Yes, there were several types of art medium but since I focus on writing, these ones were particularly interesting to me.

Thanks, Melissa. Nothing without God, that’s for sure. But I will continue to be a worker-bee as long as He has me on this path. Thank you for reading. I greatly appreciate the support!
